Web transformation project

Welcome to the web transformation project.

We’ve now launched the new Strathclyde website. Thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far in a very short period of time!

The site has been designed entirely around the needs of our users – we hope you find it a useful and enjoyable experience. Let us know what you think.

We’ve introduced a number of new areas including a home page, course pages, research and knowledge exchange pages and a number of search facilities. The site is completely responsive and we’ve aimed to make it as accessible as possible.

There’s still a lot of work to do and we’re developing a comprehensive plan to develop new areas for students, departments, research centres, research groups  and faculties. Until then, the new and old Strathclyde websites will work together, alongside each other, with links between relevant sections. Thank you for your patience as we work towards a completely seamless user experience.

Now that the new site is up and running, we‘ll start to switch off duplicate content which remains on the old Strathclyde site. That’s things like course pages and staff profiles. We haven’t deleted any of the old content and we’ll work with departments to remove it in a phased and managed way.

As part of the web transformation project we’re committed to continuous change and our beta site is where we’ll share new features and sections of the site.  Over the coming months you can help us test out features that personalise our user experience, course comparison functionality and viewing history.

We’re using an agile project management approach to develop and release our prototype designs. It’s a great way for us to try out new ideas and obtain feedback from our users. Check back to see what we’re working on.

Please remember to tell us what you think about the new areas of the website.
