Template fields

This template is used to highlight important pieces of information (facts/achievements/ratings/results etc) in the discovery section. The most important pieces of information can be displayed in bold. For example: '51% of our research output rated world leading'

Please note: You must always add the template 'Uos Discovery master' when using any of the 'Discover' templates otherwise the template will not display.

Help on how to fill out this template

Name - This is a mandatory field. You must give the template an appropriate name that corresponds with your content e.g. English fact. The name isn't shown on the live web page.

Supplementary text - This field contains the information that will be contained in the fact box. Type the fact/statement in the text box. If you wish to emphasise a particular word/phrase, highlight it and click 'B' in the top left corner of the formatting bar. Don't use a full stop at the end of the text.

URL - This field is used to link the text and image to a page within the website. To do this, click on Select. Then using the site structure navigate to the page you want to link to and click on it.

URL-alt- This field is used to link the text and image to a page within the old Strathclyde website or to an external website, for example www.bbc.co.uk. Don't use this field to link to pages with the current Strathclyde website. To add a link just enter the full URL of the page you want to link to including http://.

You cannot use both Area 1 URL and Area 1 URL-alt. You must select one or the other or neither.

Box Colour - This template lets you choose a colour for the fact box. Simply scroll down the menu and select a colour.

Displaying this where - Ignore this box unless instructed otherwise.
