T4 content typesuos Discovery-quotation-slider

This content type is used in Discovery sections to display quotes from students, researchers, professors etc. The content type has the ability to slide, meaning quotes/pictures of up to four people can be used.

Please note: You must always add the content type 'Uos Discovery master' when using any of the 'Discover' content types otherwise the content type will not display.

Help on how to fill out this content type

Name - This is a mandatory field. You must give the content type an appropriate name (maximum of 10 words) that corresponds with your content, for example Architecture PhD student quotation. The name is not shown on the live web page.

Title - This is the content type title that will appear on the live page. Type a suitable title - which relates to the content of the quotes or who is saying them - into the box, such as: 'Hear from our researchers'

Subtext - This field can be used for any further information you want to include under the title field.

Person Name 1 - This is a mandatory field, type the name of the person who has said the quote into the box.

Heading 1 - This field can be used for any further information you want to include under the Person Name field.

Person Desc 1 - In this field you'll type a short description of the person who has said the quote (which will usually relate to the University or a business/organisation associated with the University) for example, 'Professor of Architecture.'

Quote 1 - This is a mandatory field and contains the quote that will be viewed on the web page. Type the quote - without quotation marks - into the text box.

Image 1 - This is for the image that will appear with your quote. Click on Select and search the Media library for the image you want to use. The image must be sized 500x500 pixels.

URL 1 - This field is used to link the text and image to a webpage. Type in the web address and link to the page using either the section link or by typing in the external URL. This is an optional field. Maximum of 250 words. 

URL-alt 1 - This field is used to link the text and image to a page within the old Strathclyde website or to an external website, for example www.bbc.co.uk. Don't use this field to link to pages with the current Strathclyde website. To add a link just enter the full URL of the page you want to link to including http://.

You cannot use both Area 1 URL and Area 1 URL-alt. You must select one or the other.

The above steps are repeated to add up to three more quotes.
