T4 content typesuos Events

This content type creates individual event blocks which provide a brief overview of the event and can link to an event page. The width and background colours of the event block is customisable.

Content type fields

Name - This is a mandatory field. You must give the content type an appropriate name that corresponds with your content, for example Technology feature. The name is not shown on the live web page.

Title - If you would like to display a title above the event block, enter this here.

Header - This is a mandatory field. Enter a headline for the event here. This will display as bold text in the event block.

Content - This is a mandatory field. If you have a event summary, enter this here. It will appear below the header.

Date - Enter the event date, for example, 21

Month - Enter the event month in short format, for example, Aug

Year - Enter the event year, for example, 2022

URL - This field is used to link the text and image to a page within the Strathclyde website. To do this, click on Select. Then using the site structure navigate to the page you want to link to and click on it.

URL-alt -  This field is used to link the text and image to an external website, for example, https://www.bbc.co.uk. Don't use this field to link to pages with the Strathclyde website. To add a link just enter the full URL of the page you want to link to including https://.

Do not use both URL and URL-alt fields. Only one should be used. If it’s a Strathclyde webpage this should be done as a URL section link. If it’s an external webpage this should be done as URL-alt.

Colour - This is a mandatory field. Choose a background colour for the event block.

Width - This is a mandatory field. Choose a width for the event block. When displaying news blocks together, they may be grouped in columns depending on the block width.

Trailing Text - If you would like to display further content below the block, enter this here. This may be useful for a link to more events.
